MSKTD & Associates, Inc. is proud to be the “Real Estate, Construction and Design” category winner for Business Weekly’s fourth annual Innovation Awards.  All category finalists will make a presentation to a panel of judges in September, with the “Innovator of the Year” announced at a November 5th banquet.Our response focused on the innovative approach MSKTD has made to “green” design and Building Information Modeling (or BIM) technology.  Green design and BIM technology are not unique innovations to MSKTD; however, our commitment to being at the forefront of design and technology in northeast Indiana is.  Sustainable design became a strategic priority, emphasizing to our clients the good business behind as many “green” practices as possible.   MSKTD has enthusiastically embraced staff LEED accreditation and project certification.Our second innovation was MSKTD’s commitment to Building Information Modeling  (BIM, i.,e., REVIT), a 3-dimensional approach to building design and documentation.  We are among the first full service design firms in the area to embrace BIM technology. The new technology required a considerable investment of time and money in training each of our design disciplines, financed in part by a state of Indiana training grant.
