Isn’t too much time at the pub

July 24th, 2012 by Nikki

what gets you “in the doghouse?”!!!

Ahh yes, only the creative minds at MSKTD could come up with a “Puppy Pub” as our contribution to the “In the doghouse” charity event benefiting Mad Anthony’s Children’s Hope House.

Seriously, a beautiful piece of furniture – a big thanks to the MSKTD team, Wood Technologies and F&M Tile & Terrazzo for their contributions to the design and construction of the Puppy Pub.

In addition to designing their Lutheran campus facility, MSKTD is a longtime supporter of Children’s Hope House, with Jim Kratzat serving on its founding board.

Date of the event is August 30th 2012.  Additional details can be found here – with a link coming soon that will allow you to view and also place bids on the themed dog houses.  Be sure to check it out!

Lots of exciting new projects underway and in the news.  Look for renderings of all four facilities in the near future.

Long time client Sweetwater is growing and expanding.  Plans call for a 110,000 s.f. office and warehouse addition to the beautiful LEED Platinum certified campus.  Even better, their workforce is expected to double once expansion is complete.

MSKTD & Mackey Mitchell Architects are leading the design team for a planned renovation/addition to the Phi Gamma Delta – Lambda Chapter house at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana.

The race car on our front lawn probably gave it away…

May 30th, 2012 by Nikki

Friday May 25th was MSKTD’s annual backyard Pre-Race Day Lunch Cookout. Sitting in the shade on a warm sunny day, burgers and brats hot off the grill, grilled corn on the cob courtesy of MAGTECH, sides, dessert – and of course, Pete revved up the roadster.   A fun day, we didn’t want to come back in!

Special thanks to those who helped us organize, shop, set-up/tear-down, cook, grill and clean-up – Amy Crow, grillmaster Kris Bailey, Ty Fritz, Brent Doctor, Don Hoefelmeyer, MaryAnn Dubiel, Josh Farlee,  and Jonah Garoutte.

The big winner in the Indy 500 Race Pool was new employee Nick Knoblauch.  Yes, that’s right, here only a couple of days and he took our money.  2nd place went to Ed Kokosa, 3rd Rick Dahlstrom, and Gary Voirol got his cash back as the first driver out.  It’s the closest Gary has come to winning an Indy 500 pool – that’s 26+ years of picking 10th and 11th row drivers and lousy racing luck!
