Springwood Hall Classroom & Student Support Services Building
This new 52,000 sq.ft. building incorporates daycare, a wellness center, student activities with lounge areas, fitness center and a multi-purpose gym with lockers. Classrooms and a computer center complete the building's needs.
The design of this building completes the campus quadrangle, aesthetically complementing the three existing structures and enclosing the open space. MSKTD first conducted a study of the other three buildings and developed a palette of materials, window types, building heights, etc. The campus had an existing character - we needed to design a unique building that would fit into that character. We matched the deeply recessed windows and brick colors. The final design has deeply recessed outdoor cover access points and a large curved masonry "porch" overlooking the quadrangle. The curve is unique to the campus, and the softening form fits in very well.
Whitewater & Hayes Hall Renovations
Renovations to Whitewater and Hayes Hall included campus library, introduction of high-tech classrooms and computer labs, and new office suites. The Whitewater Hall renovations introduced a new wet lab, research lab, laboratory glassware and chemical storage room, along with the new campus bookstore and student organization offices.
