Construction has begun on the addition and renovation to the 1920's era Marion Memorial Coliseum for a new YMCA/Community Center and Sports Re-hab Center in Marion, Indiana. Estimated size of this facility is 75,000 - 80,000 s.f, with preliminary costs at $6.1 mil.
Scope of work for renovations to the old Coliseum will include new roofing, windows, brick repair, new sports lighting and flooring to accommodate basketball, volleyball and tennis, in addition to new stage and dressing areas for performance events. YMCA addition to include Aquatics area, Fitness Center, Community Rooms, and associated areas.
