$4.4 mil addition includes a new NHL-size second sheet of ice, with seating for more than 1,000 spectators. Also incorporated are concessions, pro shop, lobby, warming room, meeting room, 8 dressing rooms, and various support spaces.
The facility is used for the city's hockey team practices, various school and amateur skating groups and teams, and open public skating.
